Pallets of Italy

Jim & Mark Ruma recently went on vacation to Italy. After hours of sightseeing, they came across what could have been the original pallets of Pompeii! Tucked away in a small corner off the beaten path of an amazing tourist-filled area, Jim and Mark just had to get a closer look.

Could it really be? Pallets in Pompeii? Can they even escape the pallet business on their Italy vacation? Apparently not...

Honestly, how could the people of Pompeii move stone pallets? I am aware of wooden pallets, heat treated pallets, plastic pallets, we even make custom size pallets. But stone pallets????

Stacked along a stone wall, these Italian pallets were calling out to the Ruma's and a picture had to be taken. Back then, stone pallets were the way to go. With today's wooden pallets weighing 40 lbs on average for a 40 x 48, we can only imagine what it would take to move these original pallets of world.

REBUILDING PALLETS

Mario, one of our pallet employees, loads up a trailer for a delivery to a customer. Mario is an expert at stacking pallets 18 high by hand. Depending on the size of a pallet and whether you order Grade A pallets or Grade B pallets, your stacks can range from 16 stacked high to 22 stacked high.

THIS IS OUR REBUILDING DEPARTMENT. Jose takes a break from stacking and re-building used pallets. Jose has been a valued pallet employee since 2002 and ensures that all your pallets are stacked, loaded on the trailer, and ready to go when your company needs them.
